In November, 2017 a new book on Carole’s artwork, Joyful, was been published by Blurb.
With an introduction by curator and art historian Cindy Nickerson, this collection brings together 100 of Carole Chisholm Garvey’s paintings, including more than 80 landscapes and waterscapes, as well as still lifes, portraits, studies and line drawings. Faithfully reproduced in a large square, coffee-table format,
“The pastel paintings of Carole Chisholm Garvey, PSA, reflect her love of life, and an innate appreciation of the natural world. With a practiced eye and a refined sense of composition, she captures the varied expressions of the elements, conveying her own sense of discovery and wonder. Whether interpreting the glory of a sunrise, the stillness at the edge of a marsh in winter, the power of an ocean storm, the expanse of a rural pasture, or the warm joy of a summer day, each image conveys not only the beauty of the moment, but also a sense of the familiar.”
